Have you ever had braces? I’ve always had mixed feelings about braces. When you’ve known someone with braces all their life it leads you to believe that their braces are a part of their person. However, if someone gets their braces after you have known them for a while, their face “changes” – sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse.
I will be getting braces soon, and from how I’ve seen myself, I don’t think they make my face look good – but I guess they don’t make it look bad, either. It just kind of works with my face. There are some people who are really pretty, even with braces.
I’ve always wanted braces. I think people with braces seem older. Or cooler? I don’t know how to explain it. On one hand, I want braces that blend in to my teeth, but on the other hand I want braces that have cool colors! I’m conflicted.
Now that I’m actually getting braces, I don’t know what it’s going to be like. I hope they don’t hurt. I also hope I’ll be able to sing in them. I have a pretty bad overbite, so I’ll need rubber bands, too. This will probably be a pain in the butt. Or tooth. Taking rubber bands off, then on, then off, then on. I don’t know how people do it. Then again, I didn’t believe I would be able to sing with an expander on. And yet I did.
I guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
In the meantime, my mom and I are testing out different colors.
